These 6 wellness trends are majorly impacting our health in 2025 (2025)

We’re nearly four months into 2025, and as expected we’ve been keeping our ears on the ground and eyes on the horizon, scouting the wellness trends shaping this year – and those set to take over next.

In 2024, wellness was defined by the rise of run clubs (and the competitive chaos of Strava jockeys), biohacking and cortisol-conscious living. And make no mistake: some of these are here to stay (we're definitely not complaining about Bloke-core fashion in the WH office).

But as always, the world of wellness is ever-evolving, and a fresh wave of trends has claimed its spot in the zeitgeist. Some are fascinating, some are unexpected, and a few might just be worth adding to your routine.

Here are the trends we’re diving into in 2025 and beyond.

6 biggest health and wellness trends of 2025

1/ Augmented wellbeing

In 2024 we were singing the praises of wearable tech – and don't get us wrong, you'll have to pry our Oura Rings and fitness trackers off our cold dead bodies – but in 2025 this tech is getting even more advanced.

From customised wellness scans like the viral Neko Test (you can watch out for the July/August issue for an in-depth walk-through from our Fitness Director); to AI-optimised workout techniques thanks to techy fit mirrors; or Technogym's Checkup machine, which allows users to test wellness checkpoints such as balance, mobility, body composition and cognitive skills. Technogym also offers hi-tech Connected Dumbells that track reps and sets, providing feedback on your form and workouts, feeding it all back to your phone via Bluetooth.

2/ Wellness through connection

If Covid taught us anything, it was that we are social animals, and we've reverted back to our natural habits to embrace socially led group workout and wellness habits in 2025. The run club may reign supreme, but close behind it are fitness challenges like Hyrox and the ATHX Games, as well as a nostalgic return to our youth with recreational team sports like football and basketball on the rise.

On the other side, the rising popularity of wellness clubs like the luxurious V Mayfair, Grey Wolfe or the biohacking hub HUM2N saw 10.7 million Brits join private health clubs according to Leisure DB.

Wellness and fitness has become, and will continue to be, a social event, replacing the after-work trip to the pub with an evening team workout or run around the park to foster teamwork and relationships.

3/ We’re going analogue

After over a decade of feeling surgically attached to our phones, it seems the digital bubble is close to bursting and people are going analogue in a chance to disconnect. It may seem contradictory to our point about the growth in the world of wellness tech, but people are also growing increasingly concerned with the effects of being terminally online.

A 2023 study published in the Journal of Social and Clinical Psychology found that limiting social media to 30 minutes a day significantly reduced feelings of loneliness and depression. Elsewhere, a 2025 study found a trial of three weeks of screen time reduction showed an effect on depressive symptoms, stress, sleep quality and wellbeing.

So how can we implement this? It's time to put down the phone and pick up some physical media – like, perhaps, the latest issue of Women's Health, or your favourite book. There's also been demand for dumbphones that discourage excess screen time like The Boring Phone or the Barbie Flip Phone.

4/ Gen Z wellbeing

Youth wellbeing is taking centre stage across industries, shaping trends in beauty, skincare, and self-care. Brands like Bubble and Byoma are catering to this demand, with teen beauty spending rising by 8% in 2024, according to the Taking Stock With Teens survey.

Beyond skincare, the focus extends to holistic wellness, with exclusive retreats designed to help teens unplug and develop emotional intelligence – an emerging priority highlighted by the Global Wellness Summit.

5/ Future of fertility

Between September 2023 to August 2024, Bupa's research showed that searches doubled for the term 'free ovulation tracker' and wellness trackers across the board have been highlighting new cycle tracking and pregnancy trackers as many women look to start families.

Vitamin and supplement companies are also tapping into this wellness shift, with brands like Perelel introducing Conception Support supplements and Ritual launching its Fertility Support powder.

Beyond fertility, women across all life stages are becoming more in tune with their bodies, tracking their cycles, and adjusting their diets, lifestyles and workouts to align with hormonal fluctuations. This growing focus on cycle syncing reflects a broader movement toward personalised wellness, where individuals are prioritising holistic health over one-size-fits-all solutions.

6/ Live Longer and Better

Longevity has been the buzzword in wellness, and the sector is only set to expand in 2025. According to McKinsey, nearly 70% of UK consumers reported increasing their spending in this category over the past year – a clear sign that the pursuit of extended health and vitality is more than just a passing trend.

Beyond longevity itself, interest is surging in specialised areas like sleep health and cutting-edge treatments such as NAD+ therapy, IV drips and phytonutrients, all celebrated for their age-defying and regenerative properties. As consumers seek science-backed solutions for healthier ageing, this sector is evolving from niche to necessity.
